2017 Open Hardware Summit

The 2017 Open Hardware Summit will be held on October 5th in Denver, Colorado:

The 2017 Open Hardware Summit is the annual gathering of the OSHWA organization and open hardware community. We are a 501c3 not for profit. Our goal of the Open Hardware Summit and Community is to create an inclusive welcoming environment to empower people in all stages of discovering open source.

The Summit is seeking submissions for talks from individuals and groups working with open hardware and related areas.  Topics of interest for the summit include, but are not limited to:

  • Means of supporting collaboration and community interaction
  • On demand and low volume manufacturing

For the 4th year, the Summit is offering up to ten Open Hardware Fellowships to members of the community which includes a $500 travel stipend:

The Ada Lovelace Fellowship was founded in 2013 prior to the annual Open Hardware Summit at MIT by Summit Chair Addie Wagenknecht and OSHWA Director Alicia Gibb as a way to encourage women,  LGTBA+ and/or other minorities in open technology and culture to actively participate and foster a more diverse community within open source.

Pricing

In order to make the Super Swift Service more accessible to makers, hobbyists, and small businesses, we’ve reduced the price of the swift service from a flat fee per design to $10 per square inch, which includes three copies of your design.  For the vast majority of orders, this should be a MUCH better deal.

For example, a 2 square inch board would cost $20 and you’d get three copies of your board. This includes our Free Shipping option, although expedited shipping options are available.

Turn Times

Orders are sent to fabrication daily, and will ship within 5 business days days.

You can get a quote, approve a design, and pay for an order at OSH Park.

Super Swift Service is not available for Medium Run or Four Layer orders.

As a special bonus, orders placed before 11AM US/Pacific on Monday will ship by Friday of that week.

90% of the time, orders placed before 11AM US/Pacific will ship in 3 business days, but we only guarantee 5 business day shipping.

Shipping Information and Turnaround Times

There are two periods of time to think about when making your order:

  • Fabrication time between when you place your order and when we receive boards from the fab.
  • Shipping time between when we ship and when the post office delivers your order to you.

All PCBs ship from Lake Oswego, Oregon, and are fully manufactured in the United States.
